Here, there was cross-admissibility because of the evidence demonstrating a complicated, and long-running gang rivalry that explained both murders. "Offenses 'committed at different times and places against different victims are nevertheless "connected together in their commission" when they are, as here, linked by a " 'common element of substantial importance.'
