Is there any case law where a prosecutor committed misconduct in his closing argument when discussing the degrees of murder?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. LEON, B219153, No. PA064417 (Cal. App. 2011):

Appellant argues that the prosecutor committed misconduct in his closing argument when discussing the degrees of murder. Appellant forfeited this contention by failing to raise it in the trial court. (People v. Letner (2010) 50 Cal.4th 99, 178-179.) In any event, as we explain, no misconduct occurred and we need not consider appellant's argument that his counsel was ineffective in failing to object to the alleged misconduct.
