Is there any case law where a defendant has been convicted of a charge of possession of an assault and possession of a firearm while still in custody?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Johnson, 184 Cal.Rptr.3d 850, 234 Cal.App.4th 1432 (Cal. App. 2015):

The trial court awarded defendant 254 days of actual custody credit and 254 days of conduct credit, for a total of 508 days of presentence custody credit. However, defendant was arrested on March 16, 2013, and sentenced on October 31, 2013. The court therefore should have awarded him 230 days of actual custody credit, and 230 days of conduct credit, for a total of 460 days of presentence custody credit. ( 4019, subd. (f); People v. Rajanayagam (2012) 211 Cal.App.4th 42, 48, 149 Cal.Rptr.3d 313.)
