Is imputing income on an interim motion?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Blackstock v Comeau, 2018 ONSC 193 (CanLII):

I am alert to the line of cases which indicate it is more appropriate to leave the issue of imputing income to the trial judge, rather than consider same at an interim motion, ie: Lamb v. Watt, 2017 ONSC 5838 (CanLII), at para 34. However, in this particular case, the parties have been separated for six years, and spousal support is just now being addressed. I therefore find it is appropriate to give some consideration to the argument being advanced. (b) Marriage Contract
