Is deprivation of outdoor exercise sufficient to satisfy the objective requirements of the Eighth Amendment?

MultiRegion, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Adams v. Gibson, NO.2:07-cv-00777-RAM (E.D. Cal. 2010):

found that six and one-half weeks deprivation of all access to outdoor exercise was sufficient to satisfy the Eighth Amendment's objective requirements. Id. at 1133, fn. 15. Likewise, in Keenan v. Hall, 83 F.3d 1083 (9th Cir. 1996), as amended, 135 F.3d 1318, the court found that a triable issue of fact existed as to whether a six month deprivation of outdoor exercise violated the Eighth Amendment. Id. at 1089.
