Is a transcript of a previous plea required to include a waiver of the three constitutional rights?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Jackson, 1 Cal.App.4th 697, 2 Cal.Rptr.2d 308 (Cal. App. 1991):

In the present case the transcript of the previous plea contains advice and waiver of the three constitutional rights. Although there was no [1 Cal.App.4th 704] specific advice that defendant had a "right to testify," subsequent case law shows such advice is not required by People v. Tran, supra.
