This argument has no merit. "As a general matter, the decision to stop an automobile is reasonable where the police have probable cause to believe that a traffic violation has occurred." (Whren v. United States (1996) 517 U.S. 806, 810.) Therefore, if there is valid reason for the traffic stop, an officer's subjective intent is irrelevant. (Id. at pp. 811-813.)
