In some cases the material on an interim spousal support application will be so conflicting or deficient that the court cannot make an interim spousal support order without a full hearing: Halliday v. Ermantrout, 2009 BCSC 1454 [Halliday]; Naku v. Chertkow, 2003 BCSC 1285. The remarks of Madam Justice Ross in Halliday are applicable to this case:
