The following excerpt is from J.P. v. British Columbia (Children and Family Development), 2017 BCCA 308 (CanLII):
... inferences must be drawn from “accepted facts” and “must be reasonably supported by the findings of fact of the trial judge.” If a trial judge errs in the finding of facts upon which the inference is drawn, then the “inference-drawing process” is in error. (See Housen v. Nikolaisen) [2002 SCC 33, [2002] 2 S.C.R. 235].
