The following excerpt is from Cramer v. Danroth, 2007 BCSC 1053 (CanLII):

Executors are entitled to be indemnified for all costs, including for professional fees, reasonably incurred. That is so even if the executor might benefit from the professional advice and services: Geffen v. Goodman Estate 1991 CanLII 69 (SCC), [1991] 2 S.C.R. 353.
