Is there any evidence that a contingent loan was contingent or demand loan?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Cadwell Estate v Martin, 2021 BCSC 1089 (CanLII):

I accept that the loan was a demand loan, not a contingent loan. It was not payable on a future date, or upon the occurrence of a specified event: Kong v. Saunders, 2014 BCCA 508 [Kong] at para. 18. There is no evidence that the loan was contingent.
