The following excerpt is from Winchell v. Lambert, 146 Cal.App.2d 575, 304 P.2d 149 (Cal. App. 1956):
In Frericks v. Sorensen, 113 Cal.App.2d 759, 248 P.2d 949, the disputed parcel was covered by a shed, chicken house and rabbit hutches. Owners of adjoining land paid taxes assessed to them on the descriptions in their respective deeds. The taxes on the improvements was assessed to and paid by the party who was not the record owner of the land under them. The court, 113 Cal.App.2d at page 762, 248 P.2d at page 951, said:
