How has the US Supreme Court found unconstitutional a police officer's warrantless search of an arrestee's cell phone?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Wright, 249 Cal.Rptr.3d 410, 37 Cal.App.5th 120 (Cal. App. 2019):

Applying the same balancing test of reasonableness, the high court found unconstitutional a police officer's warrantless search of an arrestee's cell phone. ( Riley v. California (2014) 573 U.S. 373, 134 S.Ct. 2473, [189 L.Ed.2d 430] ( Riley ).) While the competing interests in these cases were different from each other, the high court nonetheless applied the general balancing test of reasonableness to determine constitutionality in each of them.
