Is there any case law in which a plaintiff can claim for loss of profits as a result of the non-returning of a shaft?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Conex Services Inc. v. Bogner Developments Ltd., 1999 BCCA 628 (CanLII):

It must be remembered that in Hadley v. Baxendale, the plaintiff, which operated a mill, was claiming for loss of profits for the non-return of the shaft, but the court held that in that case the loss of profits could not reasonably be considered "such a consequence of the breach of contract as could have been fairly and reasonably contemplated by both the parties when they made this contract".
