Is there any case law in which a plaintiff has been awarded a life-long disability or disability benefit?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Loney v. Voll, 1974 CanLII 221 (AB QB):

Lord Denning M.R. in Fletcher v. Autocar and Transporters, supra, said "in order to give him fair compensation, I should have thought that he should be given a sum which would insure that he would not, within reason, want for anything that money could buy."

Diplock L.J. (now Lord Diplock) said in the same case, Fletcher v. Autocar and Transporters, that the plaintiff should have "maintenance in such circumstances as will best ameliorate (his) discomfort and deprivation."
