3 In other contexts, courts have stated that "conviction" or "convicted" denotes a verdict or guilty plea, though there is recognized ambiguity insofar as whether the term also includes the judgement pronounced thereonan aspect of the definition not at issue here. (See, e.g., In re DeLong(2001) 93 Cal.App.4th 562, 568, 113 Cal.Rptr.2d 385 ; People v. Shirley(1993) 18 Cal.App.4th 40, 46, 22 Cal.Rptr.2d 340 ; People v.
