In People v. Wright, supra, 93 Cal. 564, 29 P. 240, the court was called upon to decide whether the crime of mayhem required premeditation or deliberation. The court held that premeditation was not required and that the requisite [176 Cal.App.3d 551] intent was "maliciously" as found in section 7, subdivision 4.
