Does an organization have standing to sue on its own behalf?

MultiRegion, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Associated General Contractors of California, Inc. v. Coalition for Economic Equity, 950 F.2d 1401 (9th Cir. 1991):

3 An organization may also have standing to sue on its own behalf. See Warth v. Seldin, 422 U.S. 490, 511, 95 S.Ct. 2197, 2211, 45 L.Ed.2d 343 (1975). Because we find that AGCC had standing to assert the rights of its members, however, we do not consider whether AGCC may have standing to seek judicial relief stemming from its own injury.
