Does a debtor's discharge in bankruptcy affect the lien by judgment which had attached to the debtor's property before he filed his petition in bankruptcy?

"New York", United States of America

The following excerpt is from Halpern, Application of, 283 N.Y.S.2d 89, 54 Misc.2d 541 (N.Y. Dist. Ct. 1967):

While a debtor's discharge in bankruptcy terminates all personal liability or legal obligation to pay a creditor's judgment, it does not affect the lien by judgment which had attached to the debtor's property before he filed his petition in bankruptcy. Tuten v. Zetterower, 218 Ga. 230, 126 S.E.2d 752.
