Does a court's dismissal of a cause of action for contribution without prejudice deprive the judgment of appealability?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Shell Oil Co. v. Barclay Hollander Corp., B289505 (Cal. App. 2020):

10. The trial court's dismissal of the cause of action for contribution without prejudice does not deprive the judgment of appealability, "as 'claims that are dismissed without prejudice are no less final for purposes of the one final judgment rule than are adjudicated claims . . . .' [Citation.]" (Kurwa v. Kislinger (2013) 57 Cal.4th 1097, 1104.)
