The failure to comply with directions of the court can result in a dismissal of an action pursuant to Rule 2, particularly when prior opportunities to comply with directions and orders have been provided. The decision to dismiss the action or impose lesser sanctions is discretionary: Dhillon v. Pannu, 2008 BCCA 514, 263 B.C.A.C. 142.
