What are the grounds for dismissal of particular causes of action against both a corporate and individual moving defendants?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Correia v. Kohler Ltd., 2007 CanLII 691 (ON SC):

To the extent that I have referred above to dismissal of particular causes of action, they are dismissed as against both the corporate and individual moving defendants. An additional ground was argued in favour of dismissal of the claims against the individuals in that no specific facts were alleged against them qua individuals and that the principle in Said v. Butt, [1920] 3 K.B. 497 was applicable.
