This Court has the discretion to award security for costs in an appropriate amount. In the case of Freyberg v. Fletcher Challenge Oil and Gas Inc., 2003 ABCA 208, 330 A.R. 130, Conrad J.A. noted that trial costs may be ordered as security in special circumstances.
