It is well established that, absent extraordinary circumstances, the parties to litigation are entitled to make submissions as to costs at every stage of the proceedings following a decision on the issue in question or assuming a particular result if a decision on the issue is reserved: see Visic v. University of Windsor, [2006] O.J. No. 4730 (Div. Ct.) per Ferrier J.
