What are the relevant factors to determine whether a court has jurisdiction to hear a claim in a personal injury case?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Prism Resources Inc. v Detour Gold Corporation, 2018 BCSC 1416 (CanLII):

It is not necessary that all the factors point to a single forum. Nor is it a question of a simple numerical tallying up of the relevant factors. However, if an alternative forum emerges from the analysis as a clearly more appropriate forum, a court will be justified in exercising its discretion to decline jurisdiction: Breeden v. Black, 2012 SCC 19 at para. 37.
