Is there a duty of care to accommodate a person with a disability?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Greeley v. Linamar Performance Centre, 2019 HRTO 492 (CanLII):

The applicant also argued that the respondent failed to accommodate his disability. This argument is untenable, not least because my findings that the applicant did not have a disability and was not perceived to have one precludes any obligation to accommodate. The applicant also did not request accommodation, which is required to trigger the duty to accommodate. See Simpson v. Commissionaires (Great Lakes), 2009 HRTO 1362.
