The following excerpt is from D.N. v M.R, 2019 BCSC 537 (CanLII):

In order to prove that there was an enrichment and corresponding deprivation, the claimant must establish that she gave something tangible to the respondent that he received and retained: Ostere v. Harding, 2016 BCSC 819 at para. 68.

The contributions made must be more than minimal and reach a certain threshold to justify a monetary award or an interest in the property as explained in Kirkthanasatit v. Lount, 2016 BCSC 599 at para. 113:
