What is considered to be "credibility" and "reliability" in evidence?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wright v. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, 2015 BCSC 776 (CanLII):

Credibility and reliability are different: see, for example, Hardychuk v. Johnstone, 2012 BCSC 1359, at para. 10. A witness whose evidence on a point is not credible cannot give reliable evidence on that point. On the other hand, a credible witness may provide unreliable evidence.
