What is the test for determining whether a parent treats the current household expenses as family expenses?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wills v. Wills, 1994 CanLII 7181 (ON CJ):

[51] Cooper v. Cooper, supra, used as a test the question of whether the parent treats the current household expenses as “family expenses”. Here, it was held that the adult was a financial partner with the parent. “Her income and financial capacity to contribute to these joint household expenses are relevant in determining the actual or true capacity of the respondent to provide support”.
