Can a contingency agreement be set aside or override?

Manitoba, Canada

The following excerpt is from The Law Society of Manitoba v. Tennenhouse, 2011 MBQB 279 (CanLII):

Albeit in a different context, in Moudgill v. Rowel, 2005 MBQB 104, Justice Greenberg reviewed the law relating to contingency agreements, noting that it is based on contractual principles. In my view, the fact that the Act provides a basis for challenging a contingency agreement does not make it the only way to set aside or override such agreements.
