What is the test for reducing child support based on high access costs?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from L.C.T. v. R.K., 2015 BCSC 2378 (CanLII):

In Petersen v. Petersen, 2007 BCSC 497, the court took a similar approach. They applied s. 10 of the Guidelines to a request to reduce child support based on high access costs. The court found there was no evidence on the relative standards of living between the parties’ households and therefore the court was not able to conclude that the requirements of s. 10 were met (see paras. 9-12).
