The following excerpt is from People v. Williams, 192 Cal.Rptr.3d 266, 355 P.3d 444, 61 Cal.4th 1244 (Cal. 2015):
Conspiracy, like aiding and abetting, was presented as a theory of defendant's liability, but was not charged as a substantive offense. It is long and firmly established that an uncharged conspiracy may properly be used to prove criminal liability for acts of a coconspirator. (People v. Belmontes (1988) 45 Cal.3d 744, 788, 248 Cal.Rptr. 126, 755 P.2d 310.)
