People v. Thomas (1990) 218 Cal.App.3d 1477, 267 Cal.Rptr. 865 involved analogous misconduct. During deliberations one juror announced that she could not accept the testimony of a police officer, because she firmly believed, based upon personal experience, that police officers in her area generally lied.
