What is the test for identifying a defendant's facial features?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v. Kabanga-Muanza, 2014 ONSC 3474 (CanLII):

The Rule in Brown v. Dunn must preclude defence counsel from now suggesting that the identification provided by the officer is suspect when he did not identify alleged features. Not only was he not asked about distinguishing features in examination, but I can confirm they were not plainly visible on the face of the accused as he sat in the courtroom facing me during this trial, at least from my distance of 10 to 15 feet away from him.
