The representee must demonstrate that the false representation induced it to enter into the contract. However, the representation need not be the only factor or even the most important factor that led to the making of the contract. It is sufficient if the representation is only one of several factors contributing to the decision to enter into the contract: Battrum v. MacKenzie, 2010 BCSC 1285 [Battrum], at paras. 24-25.
