The plaintiff relies on Bakker v. Nahanee, 2012 BCSC 825, in which the trial judge found it was reasonable for the plaintiff to name the successful defendant and the causes of action between the two defendants were connected. I note in that case the actions of one defendant in stealing a car leased to another defendant by a third defendant caused the second and third defendants to be named in the action.
