What is the effect of retaining a party's expert opinions on the meaning of a party’s personal injury?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Walburger v. Lindsay, 2015 BCSC 341 (CanLII):

The parties anticipated and hoped that retaining these experts would lead to agreement on these values, consistent with the intent under the Rule as discussed in Aquilini v. Aquilini, 2012 BCSC 1616 at para. 46. That turned out to be a false hope with these values being very much at issue at the trial.
