Can a solicitor be characterized as an employee of the company he represents?

Alberta, Canada

While the Appellant originally argued before the Master below that a solicitor could be characterized as an employee of the company he or she represents, he abandoned that argument before us, no doubt because of the decision in Kirdeikis and Kirdeikis v. Campbell Brothers, supra.
