He cited Apotex v. Egis Pharmaceuticals, [1991] Can LII 2729 at page 5. Where the award specifies the solicitor and client scale, the judge’s function is to achieve full indemnity for the party for his solicitor’s bill except for “extra” charges beyond the reasonable scope of the litigation and the preparation and presentation of the client’s case.
