Is there any evidence to support a claim of nutritional deprivation as a cause of ADHD?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Joshi (Guardian of) v. Woolley, 1995 CanLII 836 (BC SC):

172 Adam is diagnosed ADHD but it is not proven its cause was nutritional deprivation as is claimed on his behalf. The weight of the evidence and of common sense (applying a "robust and pragmatic approach", (Farrell v. Snell (l990) 2 S.C.R. 311), is that the causation is genetic, enhanced by association with his very troubled brother Matthew. Correlation is not causation.
