In Pearman v. Crest Realty Ltd., supra, McLachlin J. (now C.J.C.) wrote this at ¶7: The plaintiff's claim for wrongful dismissal can be sustained only if it is established that she was a servant of the defendant at the time of her termination or that some other incident of her relationship with the defendant required that she be given reasonable notice of the termination of her employment.
