The purpose of the 2010 amendments to require experts’ reports to state the reasons for their opinions was to ensure that experts clearly set out their opinions and the bases for them so that opposing counsel can easily understand the opinion and how it was arrived at: Hoang v. Vicentini, 2012 ONSC 1358 para. 11.
