Is there a cap on the amount of damages a plaintiff can claim against the other parties?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from The Owners, Strata Plan EPS5534 v. Remi Realty Inc., 2020 BCCRT 1172 (CanLII):

11. Although the parties did not raise this as an issue, I have considered whether the claims in each dispute are sufficiently distinct to attract their own monetary limit. As stated in De Bayer v. Yang, 2019 BCCRT 298, in the context of claims for breach of contract, the key consideration is whether multiple claims arise from the same breach of contract. In the context of tort claims, the key consideration is whether the claims arise from the same wrongful conduct or are integrally interwoven.
